Dust Control Solutions Ltd is at present involved in a contract for a new modernised and refurbished Glasgow College that involves various specialised extraction systems incorporating the following.

The furniture workshops have a woodwaste extraction system extracting from various wood working machines with collection of the waste deposited in a wood waste skip that will be recycled and converted to mulch.

Also in these woodworking workshops are individual Sanding Tables controlling superfine dust created by hand sanding and dressing.

The college use extensively orbital and oscillating hand sanders, direct extraction from these sanders is conveyed by a low air volume high pressure centralised vacuum system, collection is transferred into communal collection skip for re-processing.

We also have designed four off welding fume extraction systems extracting from over 50 off localised welding stations, the collected air is separated via a cartridge filter with clean air discharged to atmosphere, and the filters are continuously cleaned by reverse jet compressed air.

Another system is vehicle exhaust fro up to nine vehicles, this system incorporates a hose reel extraction mounted at high level, and air is discharged to atmosphere.

We have recently commissioned for another client a titanium extraction system; this involves wet collection separation as the dust is highly explosive in a dry form, two off identical systems each handling 15,000 m³/hour have been handed over to our client, the design and installation comply with current regulations.

Our of our loyal clients in Edinburgh recently installed new woodworking machinery that require a considerable air volume, the machines a CNC Router and a Double Ended Tenor machine have a dedicated system handling 25,000 m³/hour, we installed a chain filter almost identical to the original one we supplied a few years ago.
